This adventurous walking tour is one of three in a series, entitled ‘Secrets of Central Park’. Each two hour tour departs at 2:30 PM daily, and explores either the South, Middle, or North section of the park individually. Each walking tour unlocks secrets and juicy stories around the development and growth of Central Park, one of New York’s most iconic landmarks. On this tour, uncover the hidden knowledge and fascinating legends of the park as you travel back in time with a passionate, local guide who is a former Central Park employee. Stroll through the middle section of the park and recount the Battle of Grunwald which took place in 1410, find a secret cave, learn about and see the location of a buried time capsule, and discover what lived in Turtle Pond before the turtles. At the end of this fascinating two hour tour, you will have a greater appreciation and understanding of Central Park.
