This tour is New York as we want to know it! Ludie is a dream guide. Full of power, energy, and passion. She tells the local story of slavery, racism, and heroism in a way that cannot leave you indifferent. The emotional involvement, theatre ability, and her audience's perception are so high that we could see the city story resurrected through her eyes.

Sean was our tour guide and he did a great job of sharing in-depth and relevant information in an interesting way. A great tour we’d highly recommend. A few extras: bring cash if you’d like to tip the guide, tour ends (as advertised) at different location than starting point, take a few minutes after the tour to walk 30 seconds around the corner from the burial ground to go inside the National Monument visitor center to see/hear more- there are bathrooms, gift shop and displays appropriate for kids and adults. No regrets. Were looking forward to booking other tours for our next visit.

Excellent. Lundi was knowledgeable and she connected the past to the present through historical artifacts and locations. We enjoyed her passion for history and her ability to give deeper meaning to the history of slavery in America. She encouraged the group to become a team of investigative learners. This created an interactive learning experience that enhanced the tour’s experience.
