Today was my daughter's 16th birthday. It was a challenge to find something to do or somewhere to go. The choice was easy for her. Lady Liberty. I begin with this to stress the importance of having a good day for her. Our tour guide was an amazing man named Ceasar. He didn't to to us. He spoke WITH us. He shared information so genuinely with my family. When we made it back home, we talked about the tour and what it would have been like without him, if we had just walked around on our own. From incredible facts to the best seat on the ferry, Ceasar was too notch. The fact that he made a genuine connection made our tour an event. He created a memory for us. We are forever grateful. He is an asset to the company, the city, and humanity. It was a great tour lead by a great man.
He knew dates, answered our questions, and made sure we were together. We knew when we would meet back with each other, and he made it feel personalized while we were in a group. We really enjoyed our tour!
We had a great day for a sail to Liberty Island... only confusion was to stay on or get off the boat at Ellis Island. If that can be made clear upon departure, it would make for a perfect ride!
Perfect way to see the statue and city skyline. For NYC visitors: skip going to the actual island, and get your photo ops by boat. Also the best way to take in lower Manhattan.
The tour guide was knowledgeable and funny. Down to earth. Definitely knew his stuff. Tell other travelers to check weather and dress appropriately.
