Immerse yourself in New Orleans’ mysterious history on a guided city walking tour. Wander through the historical neighborhood of Tremé / Lafitte — the home of jazz — as you hear about local culture, burial rites, and voodoo practices.

Meet your guide and start your tour with a stroll through the lively French Quarter. Learn about the neighborhood’s history and local African American culture as you make your way to Louis Armstrong Park.

Follows the paths through the park to the area formerly known as Congo Square. Discover the history of this place, where enslaved people would meet to socialize and dance on their days off.

Continue onto the famous St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 — the oldest of the city’s cemeteries. Learn why the dead are buried above ground, and how the vaults are built.

Hear the history of a voodoo practitioner called Marie Laveau and other important residents and stories from your expert guide.

They cancelled my original tour for 11:00AM , had two options to get a refund or take the afternoon one that wasn’t what I requested . I had no choice we were leaving Sunday . It’s as ok , very interesting even though it’s a walking tour but it was good .

Our tour guide, William, was excellent in his knowledge and was very informative. I give 4 stars instead of 5 because when I booked the tour it was to be able to see the above ground crypts. Nowhere in the covid-19 information did it say the cemetery would be closed and we would not be able to enter. Only after I booked and pulled up the voucher to check in for the tour did I see that the cemetery was closed. I would not have wasted my money on this tour. I would have just done the French quarter tour on its own.

James did an excellent job showing us New Orleans and teaching us all about the culture and history of NOLA! well as much as you can possibly pack into a two hour tour! This was a great way to start off our trip, his tour allowed us to understand and appreciate the little things around town for the rest of our trip!
