We had a lovely experience. I was afraid it was gonna be underrated or underwhelming, but the swim tour was lovely. It’s actually quite beautiful out there and we saw lots of animals. The oak plantation is magnificent. The trees are a marvel. I wish the tour guide would explain more. I felt the reconstructed salve huts were too nice. I made it look kind of comfortable and comfy but it obviously wasn’t. There was a lot of time wasting I felt. We left at 11 AM. But I would’ve rather have left earlier and had more time. I felt it was quite pricey, especially as Americans expect tips for everything. If you have a car, just book these things separately as the guide comes with the activity anyway.

I loved the swamp tour. The plantation is a beautiful property, the slave quarters are replicas. I was disappointed that you get to see so little of the big house and I was disappointed that you aren't told the truth about slavery, rather you're given the impression that they were a part of the family. Very odd and inaccurate.

The swamp tour was interesting. The guide was hilarious and knowledgeable. We even got to hold an alligator. The plantation was good however it was a 15 minute guided tour. Not much information was given about how it was ran. We couldn’t take pictures inside due to antiques in there. As an African American tourist, I wish there was more information on the slave life
