Full description
After pickup from your Delhi hotel at 6:00 or 7:00 AM (or at around 2:30 AM for the sunrise option) your driver will take you to Agra for your exploration of the Taj Mahal. If you've booked an option with a guide, your guide will meet you in Agra. As one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal is a must-see destination for all tourists. The magnificent monument, which was built between 1631 and 1653, is a shrine to the wife of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, who died during the birth of their 14th child. A standing symbol of true love, this building is a sight to behold. This monument is especially spectacular at sunrise, before too many tourists have arrived. Move on to the Agra Fort, another UNESCO World Heritage site, from which the country was once governed. Enjoy lunch at an authentic Indian restaurant and sample the local cuisine before visiting some marble inlay work, and finally a jewel carpet factory.

We had such a wonderful experience. Our driver came to pick us up just on time in front of our hotel. It took approximately 4-5 hours from Delhi to Taj Mahal. But it doesn’t matter to a long way. Since our perfect driver made a lot efforts to give us a comfortable driving time. We met up a guide whose name is Arif in Agra. Arif is an experienced guide. He is a good English speaker, a person with a sense of humor. Also he brought us the knowledge to enjoy the traditional buildings. The route included Taj Mahal, Agra fort, and Indian traditional marble manufacturer. In particular, the most impressive thing is the Indian white manufacturer. We saw an excellent craftsmanship to dig a white marble plate, and embed beautiful gems. So we highly recommend this tour to everyone who want to go to Taj Mahal.

We took the Delhi to Agra one-day trip on March 2nd 2020. The excellent (!) driver Jitender picked us up at our hotel and took us to Agra in a neat and comfortable car. On the way he stopped several times to let us have a quick glance at some landmarks in Delhi - we really enjoyed that! The ride to Agra took about 3 hours in total and we added a quick stop for breakfast and a coffee somewhere along the way. Once we reached Agra we met our guide Arif, who took us to the Taj Mahl, the Agra Fort and a craftsmen demonstration of Indian marble and inlay art. Arif was very energetic and we enjoyed our time with him very much. He took a lot of pictures, knew a lot of good spots to take pics and was very knowledgeable about the sights as well. We had lunch at a pretty fancy place for Indian standards and it was also really delicious! At the craftsman's stop we were not pressured to buy anything, but we just had a look around and listened to the demonstration.
