Uncover the secret to making authentic Italian-style pizza at a pizzeria in Naples. Make dough from scratch and top your pizza with fresh ingredients. Work with a local chef and feast on your pizza, a dessert, limoncello, and beer at the end of your class.   Become a pizzaiolo (pizza chef) for a day at an amazing pizza cooking class in Naples. Experience a famous pizzeria in the heart of the city where the legendary dish was first created. Following that, get hands-on help from a local pizza chef on how to mix, knead, and stretch the dough in order before creating a topping of the finest local ingredients. Learn the culinary secrets and philosophy of "keep it simple" and use only the finest local produce, such as ripe tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil and Denominazione di Origine Protetta (DOP) olive oils. At the conclusion of your experience, sit down and enjoy a beer accompanied by different types of pizza made by the class.

    We arrived at the restaurant just before our 6:30 start time and met with our host Lucia at the front door. She was very kind and welcoming and, even though the restaurant was not open at the time, set us up with a drink before our class started. We then went through the history of Neapolitan pizza, the ingredients and how to make it ourselves. We were shown the way by Mauricio (or Maurizio, sorry!) who is one of the chefs at the restaurant. He was very patient with us and incredibly skilled at making the pizzas. It was really fun to get our hands dirty and learn about the whole process. After making our dough, we got to top the pizzas and put them in the oven ourselves. Putting them in is harder than it looks - I misshaped mine and ruined my wife’s. They bake right in front of you, then you get to eat them along with a fried pizza and some limoncello. The whole experience was really cool and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this for anyone going to Naples.

    Probably one of the most memorable things we did while visiting Italy. Saw all the usual tourist sites, but watching my sons make authentic pizza from scratch was truly a sight to behold. Francesca was wonderful and made the process a lot of fun. The chefs making the pizzas were amazing to watch and try to emulate. I highly recommend this activity. It's a great intro to Napoli!

    We were lucky that we were the only 2 participants that evening and therefore had a private lesson. Every step of the pizza preparation was explained to us in detail and questions were answered. We were also allowed to do all the steps ourselves, with the pizzaiolo supporting us and giving tips on how to do it correctly. The result was impressive and the pizzas tasted great. The experience was definitely worth it and I would recommend it to others!
