We had a great tour guide and a vehicle for the two of us plus another tour guest (SUV driver + 3 guests). Our driver Mohammed was able to tell us a lot, was helpful and responded to individual small requests. He was always safe and the tour was very informative overall.

It was a very nice and relaxing day with a good pace. All the major sites were seen and overall a great experience to see the history first hand. Would recommend for people not in a rush and enjoy long drives viewing the scenery outside. Lots to see and cost effective compared to a lot of the other local tour operators.

We were only 2 guests, so with the nice guide we could talk about God and the world. It was worth the trip. Otherwise he tried not to let us know that he didn't know the area so well - he often asked locals for directions and got lost. The souq of Nizwa was largely deserted for the holidays, but dates were offered. Those who like particularly barren rocky landscapes and like to drive the freeway will get their money's worth here.
