Muscat is not very big and so half a day was enough to visit this city. Unfortunately, our audio guide didn't work right from the start and since our driver was probably new, he had no idea how to solve this problem on his own. It was a bit of a shame as we were missing some information up to and around the mosque. We drove with another vehicle and the other driver was more experienced and also more communicative. I would also have liked a guide to tell something during the visits. All in all, everything worked well in terms of time and if you had any questions, you got satisfactory answers. For value for money you definitely can't expect more or less here, all entrance fees were also included. Can you recommend.

Everything went great from the start. As announced, I was contacted via WhatsApp the day before. Since I arrived by plane, a meeting point would have to be found. It was a hotel near the airport. I arrived at 6:15 am, check out took 45 mins so I was at the meeting point at 7:30 am. Pick up 8:00 am. Very competent driver, told a lot while we were picking up the other participants from the hotels and port. The German-speaking audio guide provided additional information from the driver (the driver spoke very good English) and the tour showed all the important stations. The last stop was the historic market, from where I continued on my own. It was very easy to get back to the airport by bus (S1 and A1) (0.8 OMR). Changing money at the airport wasn't a problem either. (To the right of the exit.) Tour is highly recommended even with a 10-hour stopover.

The on-site tour was conducted with Grayline. We were 10 people picked up from different places. The GPS-controlled audio guide worked great, the explanations were very good and interesting. It was a great tour covering all the important sights that we were keen to see. Despite the specifications, the tour was quite individual, the guide agreed with us at every point how much time we wanted, of course within the feasible framework.
