  • Wahiba Sands & Wadi Bani Khalid Private Tour

    9. Wahiba Sands & Wadi Bani Khalid Private Tour

Cross the desert dunes of Muscat by 4WD vehicle, and experience the adrenaline rush of driving across the rugged terrain in an off-road mode of transport. Make your way to the Wahiba Sands to see the traditional homes of the desert nomads and Bedouin tribes. Keep a look-out for the nomads as they move through the desert with their camels. Visit a Bedouin home in the middle of the desert, and contrast the arid landscape with the clear, blue waters of Wadi Bani Khalid. Enjoy a relaxing siesta in the shade of the palm trees, and catch a glimpse of the pretty villages scattered across the slopes of the wadi. Marvel at how the houses cling precariously to the rugged mountain side. Bring your swimming costume to take a dip in the inviting waters!

An enjoyable trip - the driver was particularly helpful throughout the trip. It would be useful to say to take towels in the what to pack section for bathing in the Wadis. Also a picture of what is acceptable to wear when swimming at the wadis (it was displayed on a signpost at the Wadi). We did think lunch was included.

What people are saying about Muscat Governorate

The Tour Operator is very well organized. Where the starting point of the excursion is located there are toilets to change. We had to travel for over an hour before seeing the dolphins but it is not a fault to be attributed to the TO. Very nice snorkeling. We have seen many fish. There are mask, snorkel, fins and vests for children available

We had a great day with Sharaf! So happy that we booked the trip. He was very nice, very helpful and very funny. Not only as a guide also as a photographer;). I would highly recommend this trip!

The diving goggles often have to be checked for leaks and replaced with new ones! Please inform the children and adults that they do not step on poisonous sea urchins !!!
