Full description
This alternative tour of Lisbon takes you under the skin of the city to discover the culture and creativity of one of Europe's coolest capitals. This walk around alleyways and secret passages will reveal the best of the street art in Lisbon, which is constantly changing. You will see the works of local and international artists, from tiny sculptures to large-scale murals. From the graffiti to the master pieces, from the paste-up posters to public mural projects. The walk starts in the city center, before winding away off the beaten track to Bairro Alto, Chiado, Baixa, Alfama, and Graça. You will get to see all of the leading different areas of the city, consisting both of the old and modern neighborhoods, seeing how the gentrification process is changing these local areas. You will learn about the social history of Portugal and how it has influenced its arts and architecture, and will also get to know the poets who inhabited this town and how their literature and poetry contributes to Lisbon's charm and grace. You will later take a break in a local ice-cream shop, and can try Portuguese empanadas, paired with a fresh lemonade. This is a good chance to meet the other travelers or enjoy the opportunity to get some extra tips from your expert local guides whilst relaxing a bit before the last part of your tour. Highly recommended 12 out of 10 stars

We got to know another side of Lisbon and were incredibly well informed about everything by our guide. The tour itself is not for weak legs :) but our guide lady kept asking if we need a break and if everything is ok. She was very attentive in all areas. There was a little break in a small ice cream parlor. The ice cream was really delicious :) We could buy water or something similar in a small kiosk opposite. Two shops further on there were also empanadas for those who didn't really want ice cream. They were also delicious. About a great story of StreetArt and great works of art about mega viewpoints and small treats to one of the highest points in Lisbon an absolutely recommendable tour.

I did a private tour with Alice who was a great guide. Super knowledgeable and fun. She showed me the famous large wall paintings as well as the hidden ones, even one in a covered car park where I would never have suspected street art. Alice not only shows you the different (legal and illegal) graffiti and wall art, she can tell about each one who painted it, tells a story about the artist, and makes you see the city with different eyes. I now see street art everywhere where before I didn't really notice. Totally 200% recommendable!!!
