Full description
Your guide for the day will collect you from your hotel, from where you will travel north to a secret location on the Mossman River. There you'll be outfitted with a wetsuit and snorkeling gear, wetsuit shoes, and a snorkeling mask. After a safety briefing, begin exploring the river with your guide. You'll walk through rainforest before swimming, snorkeling, and drifting under the canopy. Following a magical experience in the Mossman River, it will be time to remove your wet suits, and safety gear before enjoying some light snacks and travel to Lunch. In the afternoon, you'll travel to Mossman Gorge visitor center. Upon arrival you'll be welcomed to the country by a Kuku Yalanji traditional owner with a smoking ceremony. Throughout this ceremony, you will learn about the traditional ways of the rainforest people. Following that, ride the eco-friendly shuttle bus up to the start of the trail. You will begin your guided walk through 3 kilometers of easy-grade walking tracks, with plenty of time for a swim along the way. Alternatively, you can enjoy sitting next to the river surrounded by rainforest. You'll then take the shuttle bus back down to the visitor center, and head back to your accommodation.
