Planning Your Visit
How many days do I need in Moscow?
Three days is enough time to take in all the sights, but you can certainly add an extra day to enjoy a little more leisure time.
How to get to Moscow
Domodedovo Airport is the main gateway to and from the city. Most visitors to Russia will need a tourist visa, so check well before you travel.
What's in a Moscow Mule?
This classic cocktail, containing vodka and ginger beer, was actually invented in California, not Moscow, so tourists looking for an authentic version will be searching for some time. But in Russia, drinking vodka is somewhat of a national pastime, so the city offers plenty of chi chi cocktail bars and nightclubs where you can get a true local's experience: great vodka, over ice.

What people are saying about Moscow
Excellent guide... knowledgeable, well-spoken, engaging, all the things you would want out of a guide for such a major collection of Moscow sites. Was always evaluating to make sure we were seeing things we wanted to see and was willing to go into more or less detail depending on how interested we were. Was also great to get such a frank and nuanced view on Russian history from a Russian themselves.
We got lost on the way to the meeting point but our guide waited for us which was much appreciated. We were the only people on the tour so he was able to tailor it to suit our needs. It was very useful having someone to explain the details in the Lenin mausoleum and the metro station, and to give us a potted history of communist Russia.
Elena was amazing! She was really interesting and made the experience so enjoyable. She didn’t rush anything even though we were over the allotted 4 hours by 30 minutes as I wanted to grab food and drinks along the way. Elena just wanted to make sure we saw everything we could whilst in Moscow.
An extremely amazing excursion viewing Moscows most beautiful subway stations. The tour was full of art and history with an interesting look into Russian culture. Alina was an excellent tour guide!
