    A visit to the three museums of Mont Saint-Michel lift the veil on the great men, mysteries, secrets and legends of this unique place. Discover the mysterious story of Mont Saint-Michel through visiting its 3 museums.  The first, the Maritime Museum where you can discover the biggest tides in the world and the Mont Saint-Michel major environmental project. After, you will visit the Historical Museum Sound and Light. Here, you will learn about the monks who built the Abbey and the prisons of Mont Saint-Michel. You can visit the special exhibits such as the collection of ancient weapons, medieval instruments of torture, the body sucked down into the quicksand, louis XI's iron cage and the oubliettes. Then, you will visit the historic house of Bertrand Du Guesclin, a Breton knight and French military commander during the 14th century, and his wife, Tiphaine de Raguenel, a famous astrologist who used to read the destiny of the world in the stars. Here, you can visit special exhibits viewing period furniture, a bridal chamber, a medieval chastity belt, armor worn by Bertrand du Guesclin and Tiphaine de Raguenel's study. These museums will perfectly complete your visit of Mont Saint-Michel.

      August is of course a busy travel season...but the crowds a Mont-Saint-Michel were packed. You do not need to pay an entry ...but if you want to see the 4 museums you have to pay extra and if you want to go to the top of the Mont and see the Abbey which is really the best spot ...you will have to pay 11 euros for that. But that is the best place to see the view and surrounding area. NOTE: take the shuttle bus from the parking lot. the shuttle bus is free the parking you have to pay for.

      forfait trés intéressant. On apprend l'histoire du mont depuis la mer, la terre, les croyances et ses valeurs. Dand le musée de la mer il manque de quoi s'asseoir pour regarder l'histoire des marées et le projets de sauvetage de la baie. 4 petits muséss dans leur jus, qui donnent un beau but à la visite du site. Je recommande le pack des 4 visites.

      Eind juni deze bijzondere locatie bezocht. Qua drukte prima te doen en wij zijn bewust na de middag gegaan. De 4 Musea zijn leuk om erbij te boeken en deze zijn klein maar informatief. Eten is betaalbaar en van prima kwaliteit en loop vooral even door in de “winkelstraat” want meer omhoog zijn de wachttijden voor een tafeltje veel korter of zelfs niet bestaand. Lopen is wel een fors eind vanaf de autoparkeerplaats dus neem de shuttles dan heb je genoeg energie over om al die trappen te beklimmen.
