From Phuket: James Bond Island & Canoe Tour by Longtail Boat

1. From Phuket: James Bond Island & Canoe Tour by Longtail Boat

Paddle a canoe and ride a longtail boat on this multi-stop adventure tour from Phuket with private and shared options. Taste local food, swim at Talu Cave, and visit James Bond Island to see the majestic limestone karsts made famous by the 1974 James Bond movie, “The Man with the Golden Gun.” After pickup from your hotel in Phuket, head straight to the first stop of the day, Wat Suwan Khuha, also known as the Monkey Cave, because of the cheeky primates living in the temple complex. Descend into the cave temple and look at the statues and carvings before making your way to the pier. Next, board a longtail boat and sail to the second stop, Panyee Island, also known as the Floating Village. Built on stilts by the local fishermen, the island has been inhabited since the 18th century. Explore the village, taking in local life, before having lunch at a restaurant in the village. After stuffing your belly with delicious local fare, board the boat again to make your way to Talu Cave. Enjoy some free time to canoe and swim in the beautiful blue water. Explore the cave area, where you will find incredible stalactites and stalagmites and unusually shaped rock formations. Then, continue to the day’s main attraction, James Bond Island. Stop at the perfect viewpoint to see the breathtaking 20-meter rock formation, a solitary cliff surrounded by turquoise waters and cliffs. Admire the unforgettable picturesque scenery before starting the journey back to Phuket.

Our excursion was amazing! We were taken to the hotel 10 minutes earlier and our Guide Kim was superb, very kind and explained many things to us about Thailand and these traditions. We visited several temples. Kim took a lot of souvenir photos for us! We took the private boat, it was really great. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the smooth running of our day, we will never forget. The scenery was breathtaking! I highly recommend this activity.

The tour was really successful and Anek our guide was very nice! He explained everything well with a lot of wit and charm and we felt well accompanied throughout the day. Unfortunately there is a lot of tourism on the islands, but I can still really recommend the trip because the nature there is really beautiful :) you get a good lunch and water. But I would still take my own water with me...and possibly seasickness pills since you spend some time on the boat.

The tour was really great, the activities and places are beautiful and well organized. Feeding monkeys was a very nice experience. The James Bond island is worth visiting but be aware of possible crowd. Kayaking was a beautiful experience too and the lunch at the floating market unforgettable and unique. The guide was also very kind, we would have though appreciated to get more information about the spots we visited, English of the guide wasn’t very good.

Very good tour, there were 3 of us and the island was not overly crowded. Super organized

Kim was amazing, I hope to see her again on my next visit to Phuket
