What people are saying about Monistrol de Montserrat

This was a great trip. Our guide was Vicente, and he was super friendly and knowledgeable and his English was the best of any tour we took (he studied in the US). Definitely recommend going with a small group tour! We opted for hotel pickup and dropoff. There were 7 of us, which was great - everyone except the two New Yorkers had a great time, and I think those ladies would have complained if they'd won the lottery. Do the world a favor and don't go on a tour of a mountaintop monastery if you're going to complain about a few stairs, ok? ANYWAY Vicente was an awesome guide and let us choose between 2 restaurants for lunch, and also snuck in a surprise visit to a renowned chocolatier in a small village near the winery. My only suggestion is that if you want to go up the funicular to the very top of the mountain, tell the guide at the outset - it might mean skipping the church, but you don't really have time to do both. Also, props to Mario, the Llopart winery host!

We spent the perfect amount of time in this beautiful setting. Having a guide really enhanced our experience and helped guide us to the several activities that you can do there! We had zero idea that there was so much to see there. Plan on being there about 4 hours and plan to be there at 13:00 for the boys’ choir.

Marcel was fabulous. He got us there before the crowd. Very informative and friendly. He was very organized and squeezed the boy’s choir into our time. Super being in a small group.

Great trip! Our guide was a very knowledgeable young man and an excellent driver. He had a broad knowledge of the history of Montserrat and shared it with our group.

Eduardo was very good, informative, friendly and very thoughtful. I highly recommend him and this business for Barcelona tours
