Start your day with pick-up at different points of the Costa del Sol or Malaga and depart for Ardales. Stop for breakfast (not included) along the way at a local restaurant with plenty of typical local products. Finally, arrive at the northern access point of the Caminito del Rey. The group will then walk through a small and quite long tunnel to reach the natural paths that leads to the entrance check point of the Gorges. At that point, you'll receive a helmet together with the safety instructions. Your guide will also join you to give you further explanations of what will be found during the trek but also many hints about the history of this peculiar construction. The Gorge, called Desfiladero de los Gaitanes, is a natural pass across the hills that separate the Malaga coast line from the inlands. The River Guadalhorce flows at the bottom of the gorges, after having passed through the reservoirs. El Chorro means "the Spurt": your guide will explain why. El Caminito de Rey is nowadays a rebuilt path that stretches between two gorges, canyons and a large valley, along pathways or boardwalks. It is safe and comfortable to walk as most of the path is flat or downhill. The route goes in one direction, downwards from the north to the south.  Your bus will be waiting near the exit point, but before driving back to the Costa del Sol, you will try some local tapas from a small bar close by. Once this light lunch is over, travel back to Costa del Sol and be dropped off at your pickup point.
