The trip was a great way to see this amazing spot. Pick up was easy. Susanna was a lovely guide. Explaining the history on the bus was a good use of time. Because she was explaining in three languages it was difficult to get all the history in. Along the trail we heard other tours talking about the Nazi connection and the railroad link. If there’s not time to do this on the bus maybe while we are waiting at the restaurant. Going to the restaurant after the Caminito Del Ray was not a highlight for us as the trip home took so long, almost 3 hours because we had to drop everyone off along the way. I think going straight home would have been better.

Caminto Del Rel is an exceptional place to visit. I visited with my elderly in laws and young kids. The view of the gorge was outstanding. I had never done anyting like this before. It is a 3 hour hike which ends in a long walk to the exit where our bus was waiting. I felt that last kilometer was more gruelling for seniors than the King's path itself. I would recommend to carry water and some snacks and wear comfortable walking shoes. Once you are on the path there is not return, as the starting point and the finishing point are in opposite directions. There are rest rooms at the start. My children had fun and my in-laws despite their advanced age finished the path and were delighted with the expedition. The sights are invigorating and absolutely beautiful. It was definitely different from visiting monuments that Spain is usually famous for. It is a hidden gem of a place.

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. However, there was quite a lot of waiting around at the start, and the food tasting at the restaurant was a bit of a waste of time, olives, small pieces of bread to dip in honey or olive oil and a sip of wine! I would have preferred to travel straight back to our resort.
