Start the tour a Provatas Beach, one of the most scenic areas on the island. Head along the coast to the southern part of Milos known as Kalamos. Admire views of the inactive volcano which last erupted about 90,000 years ago. Witness how nowadays the volcano steams out through cracks on the ground which - all visible from a distance. Experience the intense smell of sulfur and enjoy amazing views of Agia Kiriaki beach.  Later, pass by the village of Zefyria, the old capital of the island where the Holy Temple of Panagia Portiani stands out from the cliffs. Head east to the area of Paliorema or Theiorichia to see the ruins of the Sulfur Mining Plant. This plant could be described as an outdoor museum as even today you can still see rusty wagons, mining tunnels, deserted offices, tools, and personal items used by the workers that will transport you back to 1960 when the plant ended its operations. Stop here to take in the majestic scenery or take a dip in the clear waters. See how the yellowish pebbles colored by the sulfur add to the unique landscape. End the tour at Aggeria Mine on the Northeast side of Milos Island, where you will be amazed by the incredible colors of the soil.

Meet first outside the Ancient Theater of Milos. Begin your exploration of Milos Island by visiting Papafragas, a cluster of deep-sea inlets and sea caves. Discover the ancient settlement of Phylakopi at the base of a ravine that was shaped by volcanic activity. Learn more about this site which played a crucial part in the pre-history of the Cyclades and remained an active settlement until 1000 BC. Continue with a short drive to Sarakiniko, an inlet of pure white rock formations sculpted by volcanic eruptions. Take a walk down the inlet so you can experience this one-of-a-kind beach and take some fantastic photos. Travel along the northern coast towards picturesque Plaka and its cobbled streets and alleys. Explore a classic Cycladic “Chora” with white stone houses and bougainvillea. Walk through the village to admire its traditional architecture and its stunning view of the sea from the veranda of Panagia Korfiatissa, a beautiful 19th-century church. Taste some homemade sweets at the village’s famous local pastry shop, at your own expense. Stop on the outskirts of Trypiti and stroll towards the recently restored marble Roman Amphitheater. Admire the views of this site from above and see seven entire seat rows with a lovely view of the bay.

The City and Island tour of about 4 hours in length has  the  following program :   You will be picked up in front of the cruise ship at the agreed time. If the ship docks at the new port of Tourlos meeting at the gate of the cruise terminal, if it tenders at the old port,  meeting will be at the pier 50 minutes after the disembarkation point). You will start the tour with a 1-hour  city walk where you will visit the highlights of Mykonos town like the Paraportiani church, the little Venice area, the windmills area, the Matogianni shopping area and during the morning tours the local vegetable and fish market. The bus tour starts with the visit of the beach of Saint Stefanos and then you will  stop at the Panorama point above Mykonos town with a stunning view and photo spot. Furthermore you will  drive to the famous beaches of Agios Giannis ( from where you will  have a nice view to the sacred island of Delos ), Plati Yalos, Kalafatis and you will  visit the traditional village in the centre of the island: Ano Mera with its famous 400 years old monastery and beautiful village square. Not quite as much geology as I expected, but we still learned a lot about the history of Milos and it was a great way to explore the island and see many unique parts! It was a mixture of geology, culture, and history. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly!

Very good tour. The Marino's guide had a very good vibe, disposition, explanations and knowledge. He was on time to pick me up at the hotel and back. He led me to each of the must see places. Totally recommended!!

The tour is interesting and engaging. The tour guide is very helpful, polite and enthusiastic. He is engaging and able to bring out the interesting facts of each sites visited.
