Pre-book your entry ticket to Bordeaux’s Wine and Trade Museum and enjoy the added perks of a presentation of the vineyard and a wine tasting of two wines paired with local snacks. Receive a paper guidebook for your self-guided exploration of the cellars. The Bordeaux Wine and Trade Museum pays tribute to the great wine merchants and the rich winemaking history of Bordeaux. Set in the building of Louis XV's royal broker, you’ll discover three centuries of the history and fame of Bordeaux’s great wines. The vaulted cellars, built around 1720, retrace the work of the coopers and the maturing of wine in barrels in the tradition of the wine merchants of the 19th century. With an included paper guide, you’ll get to go on a self-guided walk through two cellars. At the end of your visit, you can attend a presentation on the Bordeaux vineyards and learn about the notions of grape varieties, appellations d'origine contrôlée, terroir, and more. Alongside your commented wine tasting with in-house selected local wines, you can taste raisins dorés (coated raisins) and canelés de Bordeaux (small French pastry flavored with rum). On this tour, you'll get a taste of local life in Toulouse as you discover local wines and cheeses, learn how to spot a good baguette, sample unique local specialties, and encounter passionate local artisans and businesses. You'll soon be eating your way through market staples like chocolatines (not pain au chocolate!), traditional baguettes, the only farm-to-counter foie gras in the market, cheese from a fromager-affineur (and learning what those words mean!), some of the best charcuterie in Toulouse, and more. Some items we'll taste immediately, but others go into our market basket for our final destination: a specially-reserved "tonneau" at a wine seller in the market, where we'll pair our finds with local wines made from obscure grape varieties. We finish on a sweet note with some locally-produced dessert. No need for lunch afterwards! Along the way, you’ll learn about food and market history, get tips for finding the best products, cultural lessons (French toasting etiquette, anyone?), and context for what you’re tasting. Afterwards, you'll get a detailed email recap, as well as other personalized resources and recommendations so that you can continue your own gourmet adventures! We'll be eating on our feet, as there is no seating in the market - so wear comfortable clothing and shoes and be prepared to stand/walk the whole time. Dive into centuries of winemaking tradition with a tour of the Domaine de Baronaques. Acquired by Baroness Philippine de Rothschild and her 2 sons in 1998, the vineyard has been in existence since the 17th century, when it was under the possession of the Abbey de Saint-Polycarpe. Across over 270 acres of lush vineyards, experience the raw materials that coalesce to form a wine celebrated across the globe. After arrival at the vineyard, you'll tour the vat-house and barrel-room where wines are fermented and aged, and see the 19th-century French Château, nestled into a tree-covered hill. After the tour, you will have the opportunity to taste the 3 wines produced at the Domaine de Baronaques: Grand Vin Rouge, La Capitalle de Baronarques, and Grand Vin Blanc.

1:50 pm: meeting in front of the Bordeaux tourist office with your guide. 2:00 pm: departure. The half-day will start with a visit of an organic winery in the Graves or Pessac-Léognan region. You will learn how the wines of these regions are made, visit the vat and barrel rooms, before tasting the wines of the property (red and white, 2 minimum). Then we will cross the Garonne to discover another part of the Bordeaux wine region: the Entre-deux-Mers. Nicknamed "Little Tuscany", this is an hilly region that produces a wide variety of wines. You will visit a second winery, followed by a tasting of at least 3 wines. At the end of the day, you'll have discovered a little-visited part of the vineyard and enjoyed some very different wines. 6:30 pm: return to Bordeaux (+/- 15 min.).

Our Food Tour will introduce you to typical South West food as well as South West wine. You’ll get to see the most central parts of the city, the one you can’t miss, but you’ll also get more secret tips from a local guide. We’ll enjoy a wine tasting to go along with some french cheese, oui oui ! Le Plat - Now this is the time to sit down and enjoy a typical southwestern french dish in the historical area of Albi! You’ll taste the delicious Aligot and saucisse , a typical mash potatoe dish from the north of our region Occitanie. made with fresh cow cheese called Cantal. It is served to go along with a local pork sausage Sweet tooth - to finish with a bit of sweetness, like we usually do in France, let’s move toward our last stop for a nice little sweet treat from a local artisan !
