Zoo Miami is the ideal place for an individual, a couple, or an entire family to spend a day. As a matter of fact, visitors can travel the world in one day! They will visit Africa, Asia, the Amazon, and Australia. Zoo Miami consists of 340 developed acres with more than 3,000 animals and over 1,200 plants and trees planted in such a way as to mimic the animals’ natural habitats. Guests will be able to have animal encounters, meet the keepers during scheduled Meet the Zookeeper talks throughout the day, and much more. They will enjoy jaguars, lions, tigers, orangutans, elephants, the Wings of Asia Aviary (the largest Asian-themed aviary in the western hemisphere with hundreds of free-flying birds), gorillas, chimps, koalas, tree kangaroos, frogs, snakes, meerkats, and more animals than could be listed. At the Amazon and Beyond exhibit, you will experience a rainforest with jaguars, anacondas, bats, venomous snakes (behind glass exhibits, of course), rare frogs, harpy eagles, and a 48,000-gallon aquarium. Be sure to visit our newest exhibit Florida: Mission Everglades! Here you’ll have the opportunity to come face-to-face with some of the incredible animals that call Florida home. You’ll be sure to see alligators, crocodiles, a bald eagle, and river otters! You may even have a chance to ride an “airboat” on the Lostman’s River (for an additional fee)! Upgrade your visit with a lunch basket with fries. Choose between a burger, chicken tenders, deli wrap, hot dog, BBQ pulled pork, or handcrafted salad. Get a souvenir cup with a fountain drink and a 10% discount on gifts from the shop with this option. And the Playworld Playground is a great place for kids to burn off some of that excess energy. Half jungle, half water park, they can stay dry or wet. Zoo Miami has food and drink concession stands throughout and a beautiful gift shop where you can buy that special memento that will bring back wonderful memories of Zoo Miami!

Experience a taste of tropical Florida as soon as you enter Flamingo Gardens with a jungle of tropical trees, plants, and over 1,000 orchids. Enjoy a wildlife encounter show presented three times a day, watch playful river otters, and meet some of the animals protected by the sanctuary, such as Josh, a native black bear. Take a narrated 30-minute tram tour through the back 50 acres and experience three different ecosystems, as well as the largest cycad collection in the United States. Visit the Birds of Prey Center, and walk through a half-acre aviary with over 250 wetland birds native to Florida. In the summer of 2020 — from June 6 until September 13, 2020 — see the award-winning “Nature Connects” exhibit created with over 1.6 million LEGO pieces. I enjoyed to walk around the zoo with my sister. Bathroom were clean and air conditioning. We both love to see the all animals and get fresh every time with the moist machine. Wonderful idea guys!! Nice and beautiful place to visit…

Had a great time with the family, the kids especially enjoyed the splash pad and playground.
