It was never early access. We only saw the pyramids around 9:30 when there were already a lot of people. However, we arrived at the entrance at 8:35, but the guide's introduction lasted until 9:15, too much wasted time that did not allow entry “early.” The tequila activity was too long (1 hour) between that and visiting a craft store. You must eat lunch at the restaurant they tell you, you don't have the option to choose where to eat.

It was a great trip - I loved our guide, Edwin. He was full of knowledge and answered all questions well and even talked further with me outside of the group setting. One of my issues with the tour were that we only had about 30-40 min of time to explore the pyramids away from the group setting. I feel like we should have had at least an hour to explore. We probably could have spent less time at the gas station before the pyramids and less time at the gift shop / restaurant and easily gotten the extra 20-30 min. Maybe our group was running slow? My other issue was the ride back - it was pretty hot in the back of the van where we were sitting and we were not able to be dropped off where we were supposed to be dropped off at so we needed to walk an extra 20-30 min to get into that area.

The trip was amazing. Geovana was a great guide, super knowledgeable. You can go to Teotihuacan without a tour but I 100% recommend a tour so you have a guide to explain the historical context. Transportation was seamless and easy. Had plenty of time to buy snacks and water and use the bathroom. Would recommend bringing hats, sunglasses, sunscreen and even an umbrella. These were available to buy onsite but would be cheaper to bring. The only thing that wasn't amazing was the restaurant where we went for lunch. Good service and ambience but the food was just okay and a little expensive.
