Full description

Take in the three most culturally and historically important sites in the Mexico City area on a full-day tour. First, visit the archeological site of Teotihuacan and marvel at some of the most impressive pyramids in the world. See the Sun and Moon pyramids, the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, and the Dead's Avenue. Next, you’ll head to Mexico’s most important Catholic pilgrimage site, the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. This shrine was built to commemorate the reported appearance of the Virgin Mary to Juan Diego, an Aztec peasant. The third and final stop of the tour is Tlatelolco, where it is said that the past, present, and future of Mexico meet. The Plaza de las Tres Culturas is named after the three periods of Mexican history represented by structures from the pre-Columbian, Spanish colonial, and the independent mestizo nation.

Alan provided good entertainment for our group in addition to being knowledgeable about the history of Central America. Helped our group gain some understanding and context of what we were looking at. David was great up front and didn’t drive around like the crazy Mexican taxi driver we had from the airport! Beware not all trips are equal. Some friends went on another tour to teotihuacan that day, no church, no Aztecs, no tequila and they were simply left at pyramid of the sun for couple of hours to figure it out for themselves. They were pretty envious when they found out all the fun stuff that happened on our trip…

What a fantastic day out - highly recommended tour! The pyramids and ruins are a must if you are visiting Mexico City. The day trip is made more fun with an Mezcal tasting too. Our tour guide Fernando was amazing - he was very knowledgeable, passionate and good fun. Thank you also to Joel, our driver, for patiently and safely getting us to all of the destinations.

It was a very fun tour. Our guide Fernando is very patient in explaining all information about the places. He made sure we dont just see the places but rather learn about the history behind it as well. The only drawback is the marketing of souvenir items and having to waste 1hour in a souvenir shop. We could have used the time for the actual sites.
