  • Pyramids of Giza and Great Sphinx: Private Half-Day Tour

    1. Pyramids of Giza and Great Sphinx: Private Half-Day Tour

This 4-hour sightseeing tour explores the mysteries of the Great Pyramids of Giza and Great Sphinx in the Giza Plateau. The oldest and last remaining of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World, the site is not only the most popular attraction in Egypt, it’s one of the most loved destinations in the world. In the company of an expert Egyptologist guide, you will visit the Pyramid of Cheops, the middle Pyramid of Chephren, and the small Pyramid of Mykerinos. Continue to the Great Sphinx with its head of a man and body of a lion, gazing imposingly across the valley. Then, complete your tour of the pyramid complex with a walk through the Valley Temple, learning more about the site’s astonishing creation and construction back in 2560–2540 BC.

We met Hammi and our driver who picked us up from the hotel, and drove to Giza. Hammi was very informative, explained us a lot of interesting things that we didn't know. He gave us as much time as we needed to explore for ourselves and all the trip was in a very good atmosphere. I would really recommend this tour for whoever wants to know more than what's written in Wikipedia and wants to explore the great pyramids and the Sphinx

  • Hurghada: Day Trip to Pyramids, Memphis & Sakkara by Flight

    2. Hurghada: Day Trip to Pyramids, Memphis & Sakkara by Flight

Enjoy the variety of Egypt and visit Cairo from Hurghada. An air-conditioned car will bring you from your hotel to Hurghada airport where you will board your flight to Cairo. On arrival in the Egyptian capital, an Egyptologist guide will be waiting for your arrival. The journey begins in Giza, where you will visit 3 of Egypt's largest and most famous pyramids. The Great Pyramid is the oldest, and is the last remaining Wonder of the 7 Wonders of the World. The tip of the Pyramid of Khafre is still partially covered with limestone. The Pyramid of Menkaure is surrounded by 3 other, much smaller pyramids. Visit the step pyramids of Sakkara. The necropolis of Sakkara is the next most important burial site of Lower Egypt, after Giza. The largest and most impressive burial site is that of the Pharaoh Djoser, from the 3rd dynasty of the Old Kingdom, around 2650 B.C. He is buried in a famous s...

Received email confirmation and pick up time the evening before. The agent was waiting in reception at allotted time with our flight boarding passes (outward and return) and then we had transfer in private car to airport. Here security was very strict and extremely slow...2 complete security checks before boarding gate. Allow at least 1-1.5 hours extra time for this. There are no facilities other than toilets. Very short flight with drinks and biscuits. Met at other end in Cairo by tour guide who was easily identifiable. Group consisted of 7 adults. Had our own air con mini bus all day so could leave stuff in bus. Our guide Tharwat spoke good English and was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly. We agreed to go to Egyptian Museum instead of Sakkara and were glad we did. Tharwat included this in our original price. The included lunch was in a lovely restaurant overlooking the pyramids. As well as Giza plateau Tharwat took us to visit 2 Businesses (papyrus and oils) and a mall

Everything was well organized, we were picked up from the hotel around 4:00 am 6:00 a.m. the plane went to Cairo. Since we were only three German speakers we had our guide on site all day and agreed what we wanted to see. He told a lot of interesting things and you could tell that he does the job with heart and soul. He also showed us the Allstadt, apart from tourism. At 6pm the plane went back and at 7.30pm we were back at the hotel. I can only recommend it !!! The guide was called Hossein :-)
