Melbourne: Western Suburbs Tour with Dinner and Ice Cream

5. Melbourne: Western Suburbs Tour with Dinner and Ice Cream

The Western Suburbs Tour of Melbourne will take you to parts of Melbourne which few tourists get to experience. You will be immersed in a diversity of climates from industry to beach, and even a secret boat harbour! You will be driven through a seriously industrialised area where you will see huge cargo ships being loaded and unloaded. We follow this up with an explore of a deeply multicultural area where few shops have windows with writing in English. This is a great place to purchase some bargains. You will have the opportunity to buy some fresh fruit and vegetables at the local market...or maybe some spices! The final destination is an extremely old and quirky suburb. If you want extremes, how about some ice cream from a selection of 72 flavours. You choose the flavours and we pay for it. Then there is the secret boat harbour. It is so secret that no one has ever seen a boat enter it or depart from it.

The night time food walking tour was excellent and one of the best tours we have ever been on. Our guide Hugo was excellent and tried to accommodate our individual tastes. The tour was very flexible, if a place was too busy we would move on we still did 6 stops and had more than enough to eat, we were full at the end of the night. Every stop was unique and delicious, Hugo politely broadened our taste horizon while being very careful to make sure he wasn't pushing us too far out of our comfort zone. Hugo was engaging and very informative we learned lots about Melbourne history and the development of it's unique food culture. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Hugo was amazing! His knowledge of the best places to eat, his knowledge of the local food scene and his passion for the city of Melbourne and its history was infectious and second to none. It was a great experience I would highly recommend to anyone!

Great dinner in the Homestead before the tour, the food was great. The tour was also very informative and the energy of the spirts were on fire that night! Highly recommend it

It was an interesting and enjoyable evening where we were given an insight into the local culture and where it came from.
