    Enjoyable family day out

My children loved this trip and it was a nice day spent as a family. It is quite far from Medellin, but the scenery was breathtaking on the drive up there, we stopped for breakfast which I thought was alright, but my children (aged 8,10,13 and 15) did not like the local food. The water parks were most fun, and clean also, my children had the best time. At the zoo you can get quite close to some animals such as ostriches and zebras that had space to roam free. I did have problem with the condition of how some of the animals were kept, some didn’t seem in too good condition, and the lions and pumas, which obviously must be encaged didn’t seem to have much space. My kids fell in love with an otter that was in quite a small tank, and more worryingly was alone. I felt so sad that this animal must spend his life alone in captivity. Some animals had a decent environment, others did not I wish the zoo would look at options to changing this.

It is a very long day but I can not recommend this tour enough! I was on a Spanish tour (due to availability) and understand very little Spanish so I thought I would struggle a lot but the guide was beyond patient and did all she could to help me throughout the day I was also contacted by the company right after making the booking to confirm everything and answer any questions I had (which I was extremely impressed by) Overall I am extremely happy with the service I received and will be recommending this tour to family and friends visiting Colombia in the future :)

    Going beyond expectations

On the night before the tour our daughter got very sick and we needed to cancel the tour. Because of the last minute cancellation we would not get a refund. Although we understood and accepted this, Sergio Gomez from Viaja Medellin went beyond our expectations to show us his kindness and compassion. He made sure that we would receive at least a partial refund because of our situation. After he contacted GYG we received a gift certificate so that we may use the amount for another tour and a partial refund of EUR 70,- at our account. We cannot explain our gratitute and appreciation enough!!
