The whole experience was excellent, our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The choice of wineries was excellent. Poppies was outstanding and our host Poppy was so passionate about the wine, just delightful. Lunch at Poppies was superb and dinner at Brac & Bow was perfect. The scenery of the Wairarapa Coast is as it is described, “wild” and the seal colony was a highlight. Highly recommend this Zozo tour.
We enjoyed a fantastic day with our well informed and amiable guide. The tour gave us a great opportunity to experience a closer touch with New Zealand away from the standard group tours. Phil remained flexible and approachable to minor customizing of our day to suit the needs. His familiarity with the area and the local venues paid off with a great personalized feeling to the experience. A very highly recommended experience.
We were a group of 4. The chemistry was good and added to the enjoyment. Steven our guide and driver was excellent. Pleasant company and informative. The wine tasting and lunch at the vineyard and the Olive oil tasting were the highlights. The chocolate tasting was a good way to finish. The cheese tasting and beer tasting were disappointing. It was a long day and the car had seen better days.
Phil was knowledgeable about the region and very friendly. Despite a number of road closures due to flooding he contacted the different venues to rearrange time frames so we did not miss out on anything. The brewery was closed that day, so Phil arranged an additional winery for tastings. Would definitely recommend these guys.
