It was so fun an exciting! The guides were so kind and happy to help. The quad experience was incredible! I had so much fun. It was me and my sister and the pick up was on time and comfortable, even though there wasn’t air conditioning in the beginning, thankfully it was very hot so bearable. The guides at the desert were kind, entertaining and very pleasant. Our guide took the best pictures and I have so many lovely memories. Thank you for the highlight of my trip

  • Marrakech Desert & Palm Grove Quad Bike Tour

    3. Marrakech Desert & Palm Grove Quad Bike Tour

Along the way, discover traditional Berber villages, see houses typical of the region, and meet some of the locals to discover their way of life, practically unchanged for more than 200 years. Halfway through your tour, stop for a cup of Moroccan tea and a snack with a local family. With your guide as translator, you can take the opportunity to talk to them about their customs and experiences as you share a moment together. Enjoy the silence and serenity of the Sahara before hopping back on your quad bike and continuing your rugged desert ride. Conclude your tour back at the base camp. Sit back and relax on the drive back to your hotel in Marrakech.

Got picked up before time stated by the guide but this was not withing get your guide range. The driver was not the most pleasant, he interrupted twice when I was talking to my partner and i'd rather have him not listen in on my conversation. He had a very creepy aura about him and this made me stay quiet with my partner until I got to our destination. But that was the end of any downsides. From then onwards the guides were great and the experience as great. Met some great people and we had a brilliant time. I wished there was an option for 2 people sharing 1 quad as that is what I ended up doing but paid for two quads. Thanks to all the tour guides for their hospitality and to the man taking us there safely (although it was not the best experience).

Fantastic experience! Perfect one day trip outside of Marrakech, getting to see an Argan Oil Cooperative (Not mentioned in the description—so glad we got to do it!), the Atlas Mountains, a waterfall, the desert…the camel ride was a little bit of a letdown (they took you in a circle around the ranch area, with all the camels tied together, and a guide leading it, but the guide didn’t talk at all or give interesting data about the camels; we just walked, very slowly, in silence in a big circle) but still cool to see the camels and ride. Abdul was a fantastic driver/guide for the day. Fun, funny, knowledgeable, and kind. Ibrahim was also a good guide for the hiking portion. The vehicle was also nice and comfortable. Bottled water was said to be included, but was only received at lunch; it would have been nice to have in the car and/or for the hike. We would totally choose this tour again!!

  • Marrakech: Half-Day Desert Quad & Dromedary Tour

Then dismount, put on your helmet and gloves and speed through the desert on top of your quad bike. Race among the palms underneath the vast blue sky and discover an open and thrilling world that awaits just outside the big city.

The quad ride was fantastic, the guide looked after everyone and made it easy for everyone to have fun. The stop in the berber village included a tasty mint tea and a nice pastry as a snack. Just regarding the camel, they couldve treated the animals a little better, as one was in visable pain when we got on & off. During the ride it was fine just at these moments it made us feel a little uncomfortable. With a little more loving treatment it wouldve been 5 stars easy!! Thanks for the tour guys!

The experience was good! Everything was as described, the transportation was clean and the guide was charismatic! Marrakech Day Trip FAQ

What transportation options are best for my day trip?

The area immediately around Marrakech has limited public bus and train service. In many cases, your best option is to rent a car or join a bus tour.
  • • Marrakech day trips by train

Unfortunately, traveling to the west of Marrakech or to the Atlas Mountains by train is not possible.

  • • Marrakech day trips by bus

Local bus service can be used to reach Agadir, Essaouira, Imouzzer, parts of the High Atlas Mountains, and the nearby Agafay Desert, but is often limited and infrequent. Bus tours are a good alternative to reach these day trip destinations.

  • • Marrakech day trips by car

Renting a car is an ideal way to explore outside of Marrakech. With so much to see and do around the country, you can set your own pace to soak in the culture along the way or tackle multiple destinations in a day with ease.

Should I take a guided tour for my day trip?

If you want to see the unknown parts of a city or simply want somebody to plan the details of your trip, nothing beats taking a guided tour. Whether you visit Agadir along the Atlantic Ocean or the villages of the High Atlas Mountains, having a local expert guide can provide you with more in-depth experience of the local culture and history than you’d get on your own.

What should I pack for my day trip?

Packing for your day trip will depend on where you visit around Marrakech. In all cases, you should dress comfortably and expect to do a lot of walking or hiking, so wear sturdy shoes. If you plan on visiting a mosque, dress modestly and make sure your shoulders and knees are covered. In fact, it’s a good idea to do as the locals do and dress modestly wherever you go in Morocco. If you’re traveling to the coast, bring a bathing suit and towel. When traveling into the mountains, expect climate changes, so carrying a light jacket makes sense.

The hike in Imlil was fantastic, great views and a very attentive guide, Ibrahim, who always made sure everyone was fine and gave us enough time to catch our breaks. Lunch in a local restaurant was accompanied by an amazing view of the Atlas mountain and the dromedary ride in traditional Berber clothes did not disappoint! Absolutely would recommend! 10/10 price-performance ratio
