From Marken it is possible to take the boat back to Volendam. The Volendam-Marken Express departs every 30 minutes from Marken to Volendam and it is possible to bring your E-bike on the ship. After a 30 minutes cruise you will be back in Volendam where you can drive underneath the dike back to the rental company to bring back your E-fatbike.

  • Getting around

    The center of Marken is compact and car-free, and you won't have a problem exploring by
    foot. Alternatively, you can rent a bike.
    If you plan to arrive from Amsterdam on a day-trip, bus 311 departs from the north side of
    the Central Station and takes 35 minutes to reach Marken. There's also a regular ferry
    service from Volendam and Edam, and the journey is about 25 minutes.

    May and June are the best times to visit, when the temperatures are mild, rainfall is low, the landscape is in bloom, and the traditionally dressed locals are out and about in the streets.
