Full description
This boat was built using traditional Amazon techniques. It is 50 feet long and almost 10 feet tall. It has 2 bathrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 kitchen, 1 cabin with 2 twin beds and plenty of space to tie a hammock. The second floor is used for meals and observation only, but guests can also tie a hammock there. The boat accommodates a maximum of 15 people in hammocks and 2 people sleeping in the cabin. During the 3 or 4-day cruise (depending on which option you pick), the local crew will prepare typical Amazon dishes for your meals. You can enjoy sunset cocktails on the upper deck while listening to the amazing sounds of the Amazon jungle. At the stops along the route, native English-speaking guides will show you the amazing variety of the Amazon’s wildlife. Day 1: After a hotel pick-up in Manaus, enjoy a boat tour to Janauri Ecological Park and a jungle hike where you can spot huge Samauma trees, giant water lilies, and alligators. After lunch, get back on the water to Acajatuba Lake and swim with pink and grey river dolphins before enjoying dinner. Day 2: Get started with a sunrise tour to the Anavilhanas Archipelago and a hike before fishing for piranha and other fish. After dinner, you’ll have the thrilling opportunity to spot alligators in their natural habitat. Day 3 (for the 3-Day option): Visit a native family to observe manioc production and see tropical fruit trees. You’ll arrive back in Manaus at 5:00 PM. Day 3 (for the 4-Day option): Spot monkeys and sloths from a canoe before learning survival techniques for the jungle. Day 4: After exploring Tupé beach, visit an indigenous community where you’ll get to see incredible tribal dances. Arrive back in Manaus at 5 PM.

This cruise and tour was awesome. It was a perfect balance between relaxing and activities. The guide and crew were fantastic. The food was really good and plentiful. I especially loved swimming with the pink river dolphins, visiting the indigenous village, and the jungle trek with the elder. It was low season in the Amazon when I went, so the tour was pretty much private, giving me free range of the boat and full attention from the guide. I loved this experience so much. Memories for life.

Despite being the only person on this particular tour, I had an incredible time. At first the tour seemed a bit slow as it takes quite a long time to get away from Manaus city to where the activities are, but once we were there everything was so great. Leo’s team - Aldinei, Raymond and Antonio - really went the extra mile to make the experience once in a lifetime, even including activities not included in the official itinerary (as the river was too low to see the giant water lilies). The food was really good - all fresh water fish from the river. It is quite rustic overall - the boat is not a floating hotel - but if you enjoy camping and outdoor activities it is a wonderful time. I highly recommend this tour.

this was literally the best thing we‘ve ever done… they don‘t call themselves „ecologico“, but for me it was even this. our guide Anailson spoke english very well, he even tried his german which was fairly well developing on our journey and spanish anyway was no problem. then the crew: a great capitano with antonio, a very calm and nice co-capitano/mecanico with raimundo (he kept the ship absolutely clean to swiss standards) and with jean even a great cook as well! the food was delicious - fresh fish every day, plenty of local fruits with every dish and even a nice salad which we very much appreciated. my daughter (10 years) even ate the beans (fejhores) every day with rice (she is on a vegetarian diet which was no problem at all for the crew…). so - the excursions: as it was hot and dry season we couldn‘t enter anavilhanas as much as we liked - but saw everything we dreamed of anyways. the crew worked as a nice family, we had lots of fun and were lauging most of the time. many thanks!
