Just 5.6 miles from Caminito del Rey, make a quick stop in the picturesque town of Ardales where you will have free time to visit it at your leisure. Stretch your legs and have a snack before starting the Caminito del Rey hiking trail.

Embark on a guided walk along the Caminito del Rey and enjoy views from 328 feet above the Guadalhorce River while learning about the history of the path from your guide.

Begin your walking tour at the Conde de Guadalhorce Dam, the main water reserve in the province of Malaga. Learn about the history of the Desfiladero de Los Gaitanes from your local guide. This canyon, carved by the Guadalhorce River, is at the center of the province. Inaugurated by King Alfonso XIII, the path known as El Caminito del Rey (the little pathway of the king) served as a maintenance route for the water channel from the reservoirs in the north to El Chorro. See how the length of the pathway is just under 2 miles and is less than 3 feet wide. It hangs 328 feet above the Guadalhorce River, walking along it will test your nerve on this high-up adventure.

Fantastic beautiful trip and good guide, we started very early and it took 3 hours to pick up, but it made up for the beautiful trip and the company was aware of it so we were driven straight home in the afternoon so it was great that they were attentive to us. The hike itself was a great experience.

The bus was there 20 minutes before the departure time. Everything was well planned and on time. The path has not been passable since mid-December 22. That's why you go in from one side for about 3 km and then turn around. But I think you still experience the highlight. You could skip the visit to the white village, but you can live with it. We are further up at the church on the right. Above you can see a small white chapel. From there you have a beautiful view of the valley.

A great experience that I would repeat. The guide was a charm, always attentive and explaining everything very well. The only drawback is the available times, being summer the available times are when it is hottest, I would not recommend anyone to come at these times. There should be more schedules at times of less heat.
