Embark on a guided walk along the Caminito del Rey and enjoy views from 328 feet above the Guadalhorce River while learning about the history of the path from your guide.

Begin your walking tour at the Conde de Guadalhorce Dam, the main water reserve in the province of Malaga. Learn about the history of the Desfiladero de Los Gaitanes from your local guide. This canyon, carved by the Guadalhorce River, is at the center of the province. Inaugurated by King Alfonso XIII, the path known as El Caminito del Rey (the little pathway of the king) served as a maintenance route for the water channel from the reservoirs in the north to El Chorro. See how the length of the pathway is just under 2 miles and is less than 3 feet wide. It hangs 328 feet above the Guadalhorce River, walking along it will test your nerve on this high-up adventure.

A great experience that I would repeat. The guide was a charm, always attentive and explaining everything very well. The only drawback is the available times, being summer the available times are when it is hottest, I would not recommend anyone to come at these times. There should be more schedules at times of less heat.

Well organized and beautiful tour, we can only recommend it. We hardly heard anything from our guide about the information about the Caminito del Rey. Very cheap device and only 1 earphone for transmission. If you are a few meters away from the guide, you only hear a loud noise. This is very bad and a shame. Sometimes our guide almost "ran" through the gorge and you had to make sure that you didn't lose the group. There was no toilet in the coach.

The tour was wonderful again. The small detour in the mountain town is also highly recommended. I found the tour radios with one headphone per participant a bit pointless. Without the devices you could enjoy the tour much more and the tour guide could not be heard from a distance of 10m anyway. The 1 star deduction is due to the very tight tour. Our tour guide only took a short break of about 10 minutes once - which caused several people in our group (including my mother) to have very borderline health problems. Since we didn't know if the bus was waiting for us, the stay almost ended with an ambulance transport. It would be better to plan more time and be a bit considerate of all participants - and not if those who have health problems keep up the pace and leave the people of the group behind - and then make fun of it. Otherwise - absolutely recommendable!
