Full description

Choose your closest departure from Costa del Sol and board in an air-conditioned coach. Sit back and relax on the journey to Caminito del Rey.

Just 5.6 miles from Caminito del Rey, make a quick stop in the picturesque town of Ardales where you will have free time to visit it at your leisure. Stretch your legs and have a snack before starting the Caminito del Rey hiking trail.

Embark on a guided walk along the Caminito del Rey and enjoy views from 328 feet above the Guadalhorce River while learning about the history of the path from your guide.

Begin your walking tour at the Conde de Guadalhorce Dam, the main water reserve in the province of Malaga. Learn about the history of the Desfiladero de Los Gaitanes from your local guide. This canyon, carved by the Guadalhorce River, is at the center of the province. Inaugurated by King Alfonso XIII, the path known as El Caminito del Rey (the little pathway of the king) served as a maintenance route for the water channel from the reservoirs in the north to El Chorro. See how the length of the pathway is just under 2 miles and is less than 3 feet wide. It hangs 328 feet above the Guadalhorce River, walking along it will test your nerve on this high-up adventure.

This was an amazing experince! The natur is wonderfull, and even though some of us are slightly scared of highest, the nature made it all worth it. The short stop in the “white city” was also a nice experience, and it was nice to see some of the smaller villages in the area. The trip it self was amazing and not to hard to walk.

The trip itself was well organized and executed, and the Caminito is gorgeous! An absolute must-see when you're in the area. However, we could have been in the Caminito around 11, but for some reason had to spend 2 hours in a nearby village. Quite a lovely village, but I would have preferred to chill and relax there AFTER we hiked through the Caminito. And because of this stop we entered around 14, the hottest part of the day... But, it was beautiful and if they change the stopover in the village for after the hike, it's a 10/10!

This was the highlight of our trip to malaga. It is definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the andalusia region We were initially confused as to the return trip on the bus as the old reviews stated that this would be a 3 hour trip back to malaga. This was however untrue malaga was the first stop on the way back.
