8. From Madrid: Segovia Hot Air Balloon and Optional City Tour
Experience the UNESCO World Heritage site of Segovia from the sky and the ground in a hot air balloon and a guided walking tour. Fly over the Cathedral and Alcázar Real before exploring the Aqueduct with a local guide.
Begin your day with a comfortable, early morning ride from Madrid to Segovia for an early morning hot air balloon flight. Arrive in time to see the inflation of the balloon and receive instructions from your pilot before taking off.
During the 1-hour flight, soar over the Aqueduct, Cathedral, and Alcázar Real at heights of up to 1,000 meters and learn how the balloon works from your pilot.
After landing, enjoy champagne, breakfast, and a certificate. Once your tour has finished, receive pictures and videos from your flight.
Depending on your option selected, continue the tour with a guided walking tour of the Roman Aqueduct, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Marvel at this historic 1st-century monument, considered Spain's most important example of Roman-era civil engineering.
Next, see Spain's last built Gothic cathedral and the former royal palace and fortress, the Alcázar Rea. Stand on a cliff at the confluence of two rivers near the Sierra de Guadarrama mountain range and enjoy the view of the fortress and rivers.
At the end of your tour, enjoy some free time in Segovia for lunch. Ask your guide for tips on the best place to taste the typical cochinillo (roast suckling pig). After lunch, head back to the center of Madrid in a comfortable minibus.
