Full description
Your tour will begin at Plaza de España, and will first take you to the Temple of Debod, an Egyptian temple that was rebuilt in Madrid in the mid 20th century. Following this, you will visit the Puerta de San Vicente, the Campo del Moro, the Royal Palace and the cathedral and la Catedral de Almudena. Afterwards, the tour continues to the Royal Basilica San Francisco el Grande, a unique Christian church with one of the world's biggest domes. Following the Royal Basilica, you will enter La Latina, a lively district with many restaurants and bars. From there, the route leads you to Plaza Mayor, one of Madrid's biggest and oldest squares, and onward to the small streets and plazas of the old Madrid de los Austrias quarter until you will arrive at the famous Plaza de la Villa where the city council was located from the 1700s until the early 21st century. Afterwards, you will visit Plaza de Oriente and finally, before returning to the starting point, the Teatro Real, Madrid's famous theatre that first opened its doors in 1850. The Madrid Historical eBike Tour takes you on a 2-hour city tour that will lead you to many historical sites in the center of Spain's capital. You can explore Madrid without any effort, and see the amazing old town as well as the recently refurbished area around the Manzanares River. This fun tour through the nicest quarters of Madrid includes many monuments, picturesque squares and old streets, as well as beautiful parks and the city's typical old town.

Wonderful Way to See the Sights

We had Gasandra with Madrid Segway for our local tour guide. While initially we were supposed to tour inner Madrid, it was so packed with tourists one the weekend that our guide let us adjust our ride since we couldn't ride our e-bikes due to all the people. We opted for the Royal Hunting Gardens behind the Palace instead which was a wonderful choice since we could ride our bikes without having to stop for all the people. There are wonderful trails, a lake, and cable car rides which we did later that many tourists are not aware. It was so relaxing to get away from all the crowds and enjoy the Park. One street over was bustling with tourists, cars and noise but inside was Peace and Tranquility. Definitely a tour worth taking to get back to nature in the center of Madrid. Gasandra was great going at our pace and keeping us informed about the area. Love the E-Bikes as so easy to go up hills! Since we were in traffic, would recommend for adults not small children.

    The meeting point was inaccurate.

The guide's explanations lacked cultural depth even if he was very friendly.
