Full description
Escape the busy city streets of Madrid and enjoy a 2 or 3-hour electric bike tour of Retiro Park. Discover the green lungs of the city in the heart of its arts and museum district. Cycle a green oasis in the heart of the city, and glide gracefully down the "Barrio de las Letras" (Literature Quarter). Learn more about some of Spain’s major literary figures, such as Cervantes and Lope de Vega. Continue to the Prado Museum via Calle de las Huertas. Admire the façade of Spain’s temple of Spanish art and pass through the Prado promenade, where you'll find the art triangle. See one of the most beautiful churches in Madrid as you pass the Iglesia de los Jerónimos. Once inside the park, discover a lovely pond, a crystal palace, and a monument to the “Fallen Angel” one of the only sculptures of the Devil. Apart from its monuments, Retiro Park is an ideal place to experience an electric bike. As you depart the park, pass over the largest street of Madrid and see sights such as Alcala Gate, Cibeles Palace and Puerta del Sol in the true heart of the city.

2h30 visit on a course with low gradient. The main places of visit are made but the comments are not very enriching and not always well audible in English. Desperately missing the commentary in French, Too much walking next to the bike. Headphones with earphones would be preferred. We suffered a breakdown of the electric bike, which was fortunately compensated for by a bike inversion from the guide, who was still friendly and enthusiastic.

nice and interesting tour - recommended

Of course, you can rent an e-bike at every corner in Madrid and explore the city on your own. But with the personable, friendly and knowledgeable guide Borja, the whole thing was much more fun. You see and learn a lot about Madrid and its sights and by the way you get one or the other anecdote told that cannot be found in any travel guide.
