From Funchal, head to Serra d'Agua, a valley at the center of the island. Afterward, take a nice off-road drive with fantastic views over Porto Moniz, Ribeira da Janela, Paul da Serra, and São Vicente. Explore the diverse landscapes of Madeira on a half-day open roof 4x4 tour from Funchal. Following a pick-up from your hotel (available from accommodations in Funchal Central Area and Funchal Port), drive to Boca dos Namorados approximately 305 meters (1,000 feet) above sea level. Situated in the Sitio da Corrida, it’s one of the most important landmarks of the Jardim da Serra. Admire Nun’s Valley and Downtown Funchal from afar. Continue to the viewpoint of Boca da Corrida in the parish of Jardim da Serra, the upper part of Câmara de Lobos. Get a magnificent view over the Nun’s Valley and the central massif of Eira do Serrado, the start point for the Caminho Real Encumeada. Continue to Jardim da Serra for a coffee break, and taste some authentic poncha (an alcoholic drink made from distilled sugar cane juice, mixed with honey, lemon rind and fruits). Sample some other local drinks before going to the last panoramic viewpoint at Cabo Girão, situated on the highest promontory in Europe. At an elevation of 580 meters (1,900 feet), it offers a spectacular view over the ocean and municipalities of Câmara de Lobos and Funchal, and is famous for its suspended glass skywalk. Finish the tour in a traditional fishing village, Câmara de Lobos, where you'll visit the top producer of fortified Madeira wine and have the chance to taste the product.

Explore both sides of the island on one day. This tour will allow you to visit both areas of the west and east of the island in a non rushed tour that takes about 9 to 10 hours in order for us to have enough time to properly visit these wonderful areas Madeira has to offer. We start off with the East Side of the island by going to the original Christ Statue, which has a great view to Funchal. Afterwards we head to the tip of the island Ponta de São Lourenço and we do a stop there for about 25 minutes, where you can enjoy some great views to both the south and northeast coast of the island. After we go and visit another viewpoint in Faial, Santana with a skywalk, the viewpoint of Guindaste. We also visit the traditional straw rooftop houses in Santana, and then we make our way to the northwest coast using the scenic roads from the northeast and we stop along the way on a very interesting beach in Calhau de São Jorge where there are some interesting ruins and afterwards we have a little stop in São Vicente and then we make way for our lunch/swimming stop in Porto Moniz. After we enjoyed the natural pools we go to the Western tip of the island, the lighthouse of Ponta do Pargo. Afterwards we visit Paul do Mar, while taking some scenic roads as well and then we head off to a great waterfall in Ponta do Sol , called Cascata dos Anjos and we stop at the skywalk in Cabo Girão at 580 metres of altitude for some great views. Starting with one the highest cliffs of Europe “ Cabo Girão “ with a glass platform and finishing with an amazing wine tasting at the very ease and relaxing Quinta do Barbusano. Along the way our guests will go in our 4x4 jeeps and tackle the road going through the second biggest valley in the whole island, the valley of Serra de Água surrounded by majestic mountains and amazing scenarios. Once we arrive to São Vicente, our jeeps will do their best to climb the steepest hills and the secret off-road of the vineyards. Finally in Quinta do Barbusano our guests will be doing a walk around the vineyards to be given a full explanation in regards of the grapes and wine produced by them, once we finish the walk we will be thirsty enough to start the wine tasting accompanied by very knowledgeable guides. This trip is for those who want to enjoy the best out of the northern wines and adventures.

Depart Funchal and travel to the vineyards of Câmara de Lobos, Madeira's main wine region. Meet a local producer to learn how fortified wine is made. Continue along the north coast to San Vicente and marvel at the natural beauty of the landscape. Stop at a local house to enjoy a typical meal of local ingredients with wine pairings. Get spectacular views of the north coast, vineyards, and unique laurel forests before visiting a modern winery in Porto Moniz. Try a white wine acclaimed for its acidity and tropical aroma. Sample a selection of rosés and reds before making your way back towards the south coast and Funchal. Enjoy one last stop at a winery along the way to taste some very special wines from Madeira. Our tour : We pick you up directly in your hotel or accomodation around 5 pm (6h30 pm on summer) and we go directly to Pico do Arieiro at 1818 metres of altitude where we can enjoy the Sun setting in the most beautiful settings with shades of orange, pink and red skies from above the clouds. Before the sunset you can walk around Pico do Arieiro for a while to find the ideal spot for the sunset or even to explore the peaks before it gets dark, go to some viewpoints on the area and then when you're thirsty, hungry or both, you will have a spectacular Cheese Tray and some of the best local wine ready for you to enjoy. We can always accomodate different dietary preferences if informed beforehand, we want you to have the best experience. After the sunset, we all join to have our great sushi dinner and you can stargaze for a while before our return. Stargaze with our own Telescope and check out the marvellous sky canvas and film it with your own smartphone as we have a smartphone adapter equipped on our Telescope. If the weather/visibility conditions aren´t the best we change the tour to the West tip of the Island, the Lighthouse of Ponta do Pargo in Calheta where we can enjoy a great sunset as well. Depart Funchal by open 4WD vehicle and journey to one of the island's most impressive views. Go to Cabo Girão on the southern coast, where a glass-floored viewing platform was installed in October 2012 and the Cabo Girão Skywalk is the highest in Europe. Marvel at hues of intense depth and clarity, enhanced by the constant light of a warm and inviting sun. Travel along the island's steep and serpentine roads and enter an exotic part of Madeira known only to a few. Depart from Funchal and head to Serra d’Água in Ribeira Brava, with beautiful views surrounded by dense vegetation and tall mountains. Reach the Encumeada viewpoint at 1007 meters above sea level to enjoy magnificent views over the valleys, north and south coast of the island. Continuing through a nice off-road route with spectacular views over São Vicente, Paúl da Serra, and Porto Moniz, and arrive at the most important and iconic vineyards in the north of the island, located in São Vicente.
