Amazing tour! Our guide, Jaqueline, was very knowledgeable about the food and the history surrounding both it and Madeira. She was super friendly and very hospitable. Everything was well organised and the quality of the food samples were superb. The layout and the structure of the tour, as well as the food provided gave a great impression of the local Madeiran cuisine and its history in a short timeframe. I saw some reviewer who gave this a mediocre rating, however I believe it may depend on what kind of group you end up with, ours was very interactive and cheerful which gave everything an amazing atmosphere. Apart from a great food tour, I also made some new friends. All in all, an amazing tour definitely worth doing. Thank you so much Jaqueline!

I do enjoy a food tour, it’s a great way to get your bearings & have local knowledge on what is the regions speciality. Our guide was very honest, pleasant, a true local. The food & drinks we experienced were of high quality in lovely venues. The tour ran short on what was expected, was a very slow walk in a small area & didn’t really include any local cultural references, despite there being a number close by. If more had been included & the time maximised I would have rated the tour higher.

The tour guide informed us about culture, history and of course about the culinary highlights of Madeira. The selection of food and drinks is balanced and is offered at different locations. The tour group consisted of 10 people. Language was mainly English. German was also possible. The tour is recommended.
