    Start your day with a pickup from your accommodation in Cusco to take you to the train station. Upon arrival at the train station, you will board the train to start on this extraordinary train ride to Machu Picchu and enjoy beautiful views. If you have chosen the first class train, you will enjoy an exquisite gourmet menu, prepared using Andean organic ingredients like trout, quinoa, and aguaymanto accompanied by a selection of wines. This train also features a luxurious Observatory-Lounge carriage offering live music, a bar, and panoramic windows to admire the most incredible scenery. Approximately four hours after departure from Cusco, you will arrive at the train station in Aguas Calientes (the town located at the bottom of Machu Picchu) from where you will take a bus to Machu Picchu. The ride will last around 30 mins. Meet your tour guide at the main entrance and enter the site for a private tour of the famous City of the Incas, Machu Picchu. After approximately 2 hours visiting Machu Picchu, you will have some free time to explore and take more pictures of this sacred place. Now it's time to get back to Aguas Calientes to enjoy and explore the village. Your train back will depart in the late afternoon; you will be welcomed with a cocktail, and a gourmet menu dinner accompanied by the best wines and entertainment on board. Your driver will be waiting for you at the final stop of the train to take you back to your accommodation in Cusco.

    This was a "bucket list" trip for us and it was amazing! Our personal guide, Alex, just made the trip extraordinary - he was super informative on all facts / history of Machu Picchu and took such perfect care of us, from the hotel pickup to getting us to Ollentaytambo in the Sacred Valley, to catching the INCREDIBLE luxury first class train ride to Aguas Calientes along the rushing Urubamba River, to taking the bus up the VERY steep, winding road to Machu Picchu, to touring the site for over 2 hours (very few tourists re/ COVID so NOW is the time to go of you want to have MP all to yourself!), then having the most delicious lunch next door at the luxury Belmond Sanctuary Lodge, then back down the mountain to the awaiting train and from Ollentaytambo back to Cusco with a private vehicle / safe driver.     Best trip ever!

    A lady called Luciano came to our hotel to meet us the day before our trip to give us our tickets and explain the pick up journey times which I thought was really professional, next day everything ran smoothly,the food on the the train was really nice, staff very friendly, we were giving unlimited drinks both coming and going,once the train arrived Karina escorted us on the bus to Machu Picchu where we met our guide who was brilliant, journey on the way back ran smoothly with live music and more wine, Brillian trip!

    Transfer to Urubamba by car then from there you take the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo (formerly Agua Calientes). On the train you are treated with gloves, everything is well done from the aperitif to the meals. Once at the station, a boy takes us to the bus that leads to Machu Picchu. At destination, a guide welcomes us and accompanies us through the archaeological site. All beautiful and well organized. During the return journey, the breakdown of the locomotive will delay us by about 2 hours with fear of not finding the driver anymore (fortunately he has not abandoned us). I would pull my ears to the agency for the poor customer care, hurry to deliver tickets and they did not respond on whatsapp while we were in difficulty on the return journey.
