Full description
You will be picked up from your hotel in Marsa Alam and driven to Luxor in an air-conditioned vehicle. Here you will visit the famous Temple of Karnak, the largest religious building ever constructed. The ancient Egyptian name for the place is Ipet-isut, meaning the holiest of all places. After this, you will enjoy a wonderful lunch at a restaurant. Then you will head to the western bank of the Nile, where the colossal statue of Amenhotep III, the colossus of Memnon, awaits. Continue on to the Valley of the Kings, to see the breathtaking graves of the Pharaohs. You will visit 3 tombs and then continue on to the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut in El Deir El Bahary. This imposing temple, dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, the only female Pharaoh, rises in a series of terraces from the desert plain, perched on sandstone cliffs. We really enjoyed the tour. The day was long and exhausting, but it was absolutely worth it. Our tour guide Assem was very committed and always entertained us with interesting anecdotes because we were a small tour group and were therefore more flexible in terms of time. All in all, we can fully recommend the tour. (Note: we were there in December with pleasant temperatures around 25+ degrees).

The tour was very well organized and definitely worth it! Shaban, our guide was very nice and tried extremely hard. We were picked up at the hotel just before 4 a.m. and then drove to Luxor, where we visited one sight after the other and enjoyed the day to the full. It was really impressive and very interesting! In the early evening we went back to the hotels and we were there again shortly after 9 p.m. Totally recommended!!

The tour was very well planned and very interesting. Our tour guide Shapan was very friendly and gave lots of interesting information about the sights. We were picked up at the hotel (Port Ghalib, Marsa Alam) by a private driver at 4 a.m. and were back at 11 p.m. The first stop was the Karnak Temple, then there was a Nile River Cruise followed by a buffet lunch with a wide variety of meat, fish, salads, side dishes and desserts. Then the Valley of the Kings and 3 tombs were visited as well as another temple. At the end we visited statues and a factory where you could buy homemade souvenirs. It was a very exciting trip, there was enough chilled water in the air-conditioned bus. Our tour guide also gave us a bracelet as a farewell gift and some snacks for the journey. 100% recommendation!!
