From Hurghada: Private 2-Day Tour to Luxor with 5-Star Hotel

1. From Hurghada: Private 2-Day Tour to Luxor with 5-Star Hotel

Discover all the famous ruins in Luxor on this private 2-day tour from Hurghada and nearby areas. Stay overnight in a 5-star hotel, and upgrade your experience to include a hot air balloon ride and/or a sound and light show, if you wish. After pickup from your hotel, board an air-conditioned vehicle to Luxor. Once there, make your first stop at the Temple of Karnak, a massive complex of ruined temples that's the largest cult site ever built. Explore the ruins, a pilgrimage site for almost 2,000 years, with your guide. Then, visit Luxor Temple before savoring lunch at a selected restaurant in Luxor. Once you've eaten, decide whether to either board a felucca (a typical Egyptian sailboat) and cruise the Nile to the City of the Dead, or simply hop back in your vehicle to get there. Afterward, get some free time to relax at your hotel. In the late evening, you can choose to attend the spectacular sound and light show at the Karnak Temple, wander around Luxor and its market, or choose to continue relaxing at the hotel. Early on the second morning, you have the option to embark on a very special trip into the air with the top-rated hot air balloon company in Luxor. Spend 45 minutes floating above Luxor and admire its beauty under the gentle light of sunrise. After breakfast in the hotel (whether you choose the hot air balloon ride or not), you'll visit the Valley of the Kings, where the golden treasures of King Tutankhamen still reside along with the original grave goods. Next, head to the Colossi of Memnon, and marvel at an impressive example of devotion to the gods and, at the same time, the advanced architecture of ancient Egypt. Enjoy all the time you want to explore this site with your personal guide. You'll also have the opportunity to visit the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Although only beautiful ruins remain of this temple today, its splendor once honored the sole female ruler of Egypt. Finally, return to your hotel in Hurghada.

The trip to Luxor is highly recommended to everyone. Unfortunately I only have 1,000 characters. You definitely need the two days and should indulge in relaxation in the 5 star hotel. Our tour guide Adil was extremely friendly and accommodating. He took care of us as if we were his children. Also very pleasant in Corona times that you are picked up by a private driver and brought to Luxor, or even being driven around there by him. That makes the whole thing very pleasant and creates time for individual planning. You don't have to adapt to a group and you don't get rushed from attraction to attraction. Adil was very knowledgeable about the Egyptian history of the pharaohs and answered all questions satisfactorily. This tour really caters to individual needs and we really recommend it to everyone.

Our guide Ramzy was very knowledgeable, we learnt a lot about Egyptian history with him. He was always there for us and made sure that we didn’t have any problems. I would totally recommend him to our family and friends. Just be aware that you have to do a lot of tipping, it seems is the way it works here. But apart from that the quality of the tour is excellent.

Great to be able to choose the departure time from Hurghada and stay as long as we wanted at each site. Nana, our guide, was great. She was super knowledgable and very friendly. Would definitely recommend the hot air balloon ride.

Very worthwhile trip with a good guide and driver. Everything was explained in detail and all questions were answered. Very nice hotel right on the Nile. Since there is so much to see, you should definitely book a two-day tour.

Very good experience. Zaher was a great tour guide with extensive knowledge and ability to answer any questions. The tour was well organized for the best sights and also has excellent staff and food on board. Would recommend.
