  • Loch Lomond: Island Discovery 2-Hour Cruise

    1. Loch Lomond: Island Discovery 2-Hour Cruise

Discover the legends and secrets of the islands of Loch Lomond, known as “the jewels in her crown.” Learn the history and the legend of Loch Lomond and the surrounding areas, while enjoying some of Scotland's most spectacular scenery. This leisurely 2-hour circular cruise passes the world-famous Loch Lomond Golf Club and explores the middle island of Loch Lomond, sailing through an area known to locals as "The Narrows", and continues onwards to the village of Luss.   Enjoy cruise commentary by famed historian and archaeologist Neil Oliver, best known from BBC's "Coast" and "A History of Scotland." The luxurious and smooth passenger boats offer excellent viewing, opened and closed deck space, and full bar facilities.

Well organised tour of Loch Lomond on a very comfortable boat. Good seating arrangements across two levels with open areas front and back. Excellent pre recorded commentary well synchronised at all the appropriate points. Luckily we had a mostly sunny day which really showed the scenery at its best. We purchased drinks on board but no snacks or crisps etc available which I am sure most people would have had so maybe they are missing a trick not providing them. Very pleased with the the adjacent parking and easy access to the boat dock.

Our guide Andrew was great. Very knowledgeable and had some great stories. Unfortunately, we we with many people on our minivan tour that refused to wear their masks. Our guide tried to enforce this day one, but gave up after that. After using another tour company for a day trip which checked temperatures and insisted on hand sanitizer and masks, I think Timberbush could improve on Covid safety.

Loved the tour very much. Michael was very knowledgeable and fun. Despite the Covid-19 impact in most of the region, he managed to accommodate the route and added additional views as we were a very small group and were quick to visit and covef the castle. A note to all that are considering Scotland as staycation destination, it is somehow quiet but nonetheless most of the sight can be visited and enjoyed, possibly not at full splendour as in a regular August, but a great experience definitely.

I took my parents to Loch Lomond for their 60th Diamond Anniversary , we decided to book the boat trip, best part of the trip , they absolutely loved it, I must say the staff were outstanding , very helpful and showed consideration for my parents who are a bit slow on their feet. Thank you for that. That aside the actual tour and commentary was excellent , my dad in particular loved listening to the stories of the Loch, it was so lovely as to my surprise when you played the bonnie banks on the tannoy system they both sang it from beginning to end, I didn’t even know they new it. You and your team made their day. Thank You.

Really nice tour, Stuart was really a nice extra do this trip, he had lots of stories to tell. Beautiful scenery through this trip, Loch Lomond was amazing, the boat ride is really worth it. Just a bit sad that we didn't get to go to the Wallace monument, and we were so close to it. I think that who organizes this ride should have that in mind...

Smooth booking and boarding. Fantastic sites and trip through. Will not be disappointed if considering this.

It was a fun tour!! The tour guide took us to different places and was quite informative!
