Worth doing as it will save you a lot of walking and time. The lights will look much closer than what you can see otherwise. Just note that of you book the open top tour, you will no longer be eligible for a seat downstairs even if it rains. You have to sit upstairs in the rain. The company will provide ponchos but your jeans/pants will get wet by sitting in little puddles of water. Look at the weather and decide whether you want to do this.

Best Tour we have ever been on, Jack (I hope I’ve recalled the name correctly) was simply the best tour guide ever. We braved the rain outside and the sites were spectacular, coupled with the knowledge and actually FUN facts about so much of the sites we passed on the street’s of London, Jack was exceptional and our favourite tour guide yet. It is even Jack’s 1st month on the Job, but he’s got it guaranteed with that performance. It was our Last Night in London for our New Years Eve break, we took the 9pm on 1st December. I did the tour with my family on New Year's day it was brilliant! a great way to see London with all the Christmas light's and learn some of the history. Our tour guide was an elderly gentleman i forgot his name but he was charming, very knowledgeable and entertaining which just made the tour more enjoyable. Will definitely do this tour again when in London for New Year 2023. Thank you, highly recommended.
