Having seen Postojna caves, Škocjan caves didn't have the same impact it might have otherwise had. This is not a tour for those who are not physically. The steep descent (100m +) to the bottom and then the 800 steps ascent are physically strenuous. The tour was done at a considerate pace but it was nevertheless physically taxing. The Lipica stud farm visit was great and made the day worth the long trip as it is quite a long way from Ljubljana.

Great trip

Absolutely magnificent and downright amazing Cave of Skocja and great Lipizzan horses in great surroundings. I really recommend. We had an absolutely first class guide (driver) and can’t help but thank him for this trip.

We had a wonderful experience! In addition to the caves, we experienced a unique lunch at a local winery. Our guide was great!
