From Ljubljana: Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj Day Trip

1. From Ljubljana: Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj Day Trip

An ‘Image of Paradise’, as it is often described, Bled has been attracting visitors with its breathtaking beauty for centuries. The calm and inviting waters of its lake spurred the tradition of making the typical ‘pletna’ boats back in the 12th century. Optionally you can board one of these wooden beauties to reach the island, with its romantic church and mysterious wishing bell. Sightseeing in Bled continues with a visit to the impressive castle, perched on a cliff high above the lake. Guides will roll back time in its museum, and enjoy the unforgettable view of the surroundings. Surrounded by alluring summits, the Bohinj Valley charms visitors with its inspiring scenery, crystal lake waters and the harmonious coexistence of man and nature. The picturesque lakeside boasts the frescoes of Church of St. John the Baptist. You will have time to discover the legend of Zlatorog (Goldhorn), enjoy a stunning view over Mount Triglav and try the hearty local cuisine. To experience a bit of trekking, you'll end the day with an enjoyable 20-minute hike to the beautiful Savica Waterfall, thundering from a high rocky cliff, and enjoy a rewarding view of the Lake.

What people are saying about Ljubljana

We had a private tour with our guide as there were no other guests that day and we felt privileged. We had a wonderfull experiance, our guide Sanda was very kind, informative and helpfull, even spoke our native language which we didn't expect.. and the route and attractions were very interesting, they exceeded our expectations in every way. And we had enough time to enjoy at each site. We would higly recommend this tour to everyone visiting Slovenia. At the end of the tour we even managed to visit the Opera house in Ljubljana and attend the opera that evening.. Very romantic day from the beginning till the end.

Nina our guide and driver was excellent - she was extremely knowledgeable, ran a great tour and we had plenty of our own time explore. We previously booked a different tour as we were worried about getting back in time for a flight and the company offered us this longer tour where we saw a lot more, and then dropped us to the airport on the way back which was extremely kind. All in all super helpful, great company and Nina made it a great day - so much to see, highly recommend.

Highly recommended. Lakes Bled and Bohinj are both spectacular and well worth a visit. We were lucky enough to have great weather for our trip but it would have been lovely even in the rain. Our guide, Primoz, was fantastic - incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. He personalized the tour to our interests and made sure that we had a great time.

Primoz was an excellent guide. You could see his knowledge and passion about Slovenia. He took us to the waterfall even if it wasnt on the plan for the day, just because i asked him to!! I really appreciate that!

Nina has been a charming guide, all very well. I totally recommend this excursion
