Not usually our interests, but the guide was excellent and very enthusiastic. It was quite a lot of walking (it's mostly a walking tour) which some people may struggle with especially in the heat, but it was very flat, and we found frequent shade to stop while the guide spoke to us. The boat section was very good, and it would have been nice to have had more of en equal balance between the two, since you could see a lot of the sights from the boat that we'd been told about, and it was so so hot on the day that we went. The guide did speak very fast, and perhaps could have slowed down a little, but he crammed a lot of info in, and his English was flawless. Overall, I'd highly recommend it, it exceeded our expectations, and beats just wandering around without knowing what you are surrounded by.

I'm glad I chose to do it

Guide Urban is very entertaining. Although he speaks a bit fast, so this is not for beginner level english speakers. We found out interesting things, not necessarely what you find in Wikipedia when you search Ljubljana, but different, more personal/unique stuff. I liked the tasting session, Urban made it very entertaining. Boat trip was ok. We were a group of 7-8 people. I am glad we chose to do this, it was fun.

Nice way to get to know the city

I was very lucky on this trip! Being the only one who had booked, I had a private tour which was obviously a great way to do it! Actually, I was surprised they were willing to run it for only one but evidently, there are 20+ in some groups, so one makes up for the other. This guide was also very knowledgable so it was an interesting tour and, of course, we had discussions on various topics as we went. So much better than a guide book! I did find the guides in Ljubljana talked 15 to the dozen though. Slow down a bit please! We finished the trip with the boat ride and were the only ones on the boat as well! Amazing! I had obviously picked the right day! (A Monday!)
