Full description
Escape the hustle and bustle of Lisbon and get back to nature at the remote beach of Sesimbra. Cross the Tagus River on the iconic 25 de Abril Bridge and then journey on to Ribeira do Cavalo to discover one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. Relax on the hard-to-reach beach and go for a swim and snorkel in the sea, if conditions allow. Jump from the rocks if you are feeling brave! Then, head back to Lisbon and stop at the Cristo Rei statue of Christ for amazing views of the city. Look down at the beach and blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean. In case of schedule restrictions for accessing the Christ-King square, you will stop at the Viewpoint Boca do Vento next to the Christ-King or at Sesimbra Castle.

Very pretty beach, but not really wild given the number of people who go there. Very nice guide, who made 2 stops instead of 1 (Castle of Sesimbra and Christ the King) and answered our questions, it lasted an hour longer than expected. It's more a guide than a guide since we are free and alone at each stop. Otherwise, good excursion to get out of the streets of Lisbon for a day.

Absolutely recommendable :) the tour to the Wild Beach in Sesimbra was absolutely breathtaking... first of all everything worked great in terms of organization. the meeting point was very well described & totally easy to find. We left on time. but that's actually totally irrelevant to the rest of the experience. Manuel, our guide, was absolutely great. Totally friendly young man, very accommodating & super nice. On the way to the beach we drove over the Ponte 25 de Abril & he was able to tell us a lot about it. His English was almost perfect :) You have to be sure-footed to go to the beach itself, so you also need sneakers (as described). We had a lot of time on the beach itself & Manuel took care of our things. The beach is amazing. Simply fantastic :) The Christ statue closes at 6 p.m. in September. So we decided to stay longer on the beach & Manuel showed us a great spot with a view of Lisbon & the bridge afterwards :)

Ze was a fantastic tour guide! He took us down a mountain side to see a stunning beach view and eventually to the beach itself. The snorkelling itself was not the best given the quality of the water - but apparently this is the same all around Portugal! The beach itself was lovely to relax on. Afterwards Ze took us to another besides seeing area next to the sea and a bridge - again lovely and worth seeing. Overall a nice afternoon and an excursion that I would recommend.
