    Lord Byron said that Sintra “is a glorious Eden.” Since the conquest of the first king of Portugal, Sintra became a charming place frequented by royalty and the aristocracy. Sintra is known as well for its unique natural park and mystic atmosphere. Join this tour and discover the royal and aristocratic palaces of Pena or Regaleira and get to know their fantastic, mystical and forbidden love stories. Then travel to the most western point of Europe and admire the great ocean the Portuguese call “the Portuguese Sea.” Afterwards, visit two other charming and exclusive places, Cascais and Estoril. They were the first beaches frequented by the last kings of Portugal. With the Second World War, they were chosed by royal families such as the Italian and Spanish royal family, as a place of exile.

    La peggiore escursione della mia vita! Abbiamo prenotato un tour in italiano per goderci la storia di questi luoghi e invece sì è presentato semplicemente un autista frettoloso e disorganizzato ( continuava a chiamare qualcuno per sapere dove fosse, probabilmente la nostra guida che non si è presentata ) per i soldi spesi avremmo noleggiato un auto! E avremmo risparmiato!! L’autista ci ha “scaricati” davanti all’ingresso della Regaleira senza darci minimamente alcuna info, né tempistica di visita, abbiamo dovuto comprare l’audio-guida. Seconda tappa Cabo Da Roca, giusto 2 foto e via, alle 14,20 siamo arrivati a Cascais e c’è stato proposto di tornare subito a Lisbona direzione Belèm…( l’escursione sarebbe stata di 8 ore e non di 5 ) ovviamente della pasticceria locale inclusa neanche l’ombra!
