Leonardo da Vinci is widely associated and remembered for Art but his scientific and mechanical understanding of our world is very well represented in this beautifully exhibited combination of paintings and working models. As an educator, I find this little museum most interesting and relevant for young visitors who can interact with many wooden models to understand the fundamentals of physics and how far ahead Leonardo was, of others due to his unique perspective. I'm led to believe he may have been dyslexic and I am a teacher of neurodiversity myself. However, that is not proven. What is certain is that this great thinking saw the world through a lens that remains of value to us today. The audio accompaniment and the charming museum shop offers opportunities for everyone to appreciate and understand complex ideas.

Entertaining while educational for the kids. Small number of exhibits (less than an hour to see all). Hands-on activity was ideal after several hours touring the nearby Vatican museum. All displays are recreations, but it’s an interactive way to learn more about DaVinci.

Although this is not one of the most famous places in Rome, it is definetelly very interesting and one of our besr experiences until now. It is full with machines and paintings, which are explained in details by the audio guide. The audio guide is in several languages and very clear and professional.
