The whole experience was great! I booked the SUP boarding at home before we travelled, unaware of any bus timetables or locations. We had originally booked the afternoon slot at 1pm, due to not knowing about the transport. I got a message from Socrates asking if we would like to change to the morning due to the winds. I explained that we haven’t arrived in Crete yet and that we don’t know the buses etc. Socrates was very understating, he provided us with a timetable and told us to wait till we got there and we could decide the day before the excursion as to whether we wanted the morning. The night before he called to say that rather than getting up so early, he had cancelled his 7.50 and the 1pm and we could go at 10am instead, this was a huge relief as we had children with us who don’t like to move in the mornings. So, we got the bus and he met us at the bus stop, so we didn’t get lost. We were running a few minutes late, but he was so laid back, extremely lovely and very informative!
